The cold air seems to spike as Gerhart's words ring out. A loud creaking noise can be heard from the direction the gravediggers left. As their eyes flickered around the graveyard they could catch glimpses of something that was flying by the graves, moving just fast enough that they couldn't catch it as it fled behind something new. The longer it went on each of you could see a low stream of fog begin to run across your feet just enough to show something in the air had changed. ʗˉɶˊʾʻɶʼʻʻ˂ʿ˄ʽɶ˅ʼɶʹ˅˂ʺɶʹ˅˄ˊʿ˄ˋʻˉɶ˅˄ʂɶˉˋʺʺʻ˄˂ˏɶʗ˂ʿˊʾʿʷɶʼʻʻ˂ˉɶʷɶʹʾʿ˂˂ɶˈˋ˄ɶˋˆɶʾʻˈɶˉˆʿ˄ʻɶʷˉɶˉ˅˃ʻˊʾʿ˄ʽɶʼʻʻ˂ˉɶʺʿʼʼʻˈʻ˄ˊʄɶʩʾʻɶʼʻʻ˂ˉɶˍʻʷˁʻˈɶʷˉɶʿˊɶʼʻʻ˂ˉɶ˂ʿˁʻɶˉ˅˃ʻˊʾʿ˄ʽɶʿˉɶˆˋ˂˂ʻʺɶʼˈ˅˃ɶʾʻˈɶˉˏˉˊʻ˃ʄɶʗˉɶˉʾʻɶ˂˅˅ˁˉɶʺ˅ˍ˄ɶʷˊɶʾʻˈɶʸ˅ʺˏɶˉʾʻɶ˄˅ˊʿʹʻˉɶˊʾʷˊɶʾʻˈɶʸ˅ʺˏɶˍʷˉɶ˄˅ˍɶˉ˂ʿʽʾˊ˂ˏɶˊˈʷ˄ˉˆʷˈʻ˄ˊʂɶ˄˅ˊɶʷˉɶ˃ˋʹʾɶʷˉɶˊʾʻɶ˅ˊʾʻˈˉɶˍʻˈʻɶˆˈʻˌʿ˅ˋˉ˂ˏɶʸˋˊɶʻ˄˅ˋʽʾɶˊʾʷˊɶˉʾʻɶʹ˅ˋ˂ʺɶˉʻʻɶˊʾʻɶʺʿʼʼʻˈʻ˄ʹʻɶʼˈ˅˃ɶʾʻˈɶˆˈʻˌʿ˅ˋˉɶˉʻ˂ʼʄØ

"You can go if you want, I'll stand guard." They wanted to leave, which she didn't particularly blame them. The sight of their own 'dead' bodies was uncomfortable - made worse by the damp and dark graveyard and the strange feeling slowly over whelming them. But her commitment to stay only strengthened as things got weirder.
Fog slowly began to billow in around their feet, slowly beginning to obscure their graves as well, and she couldn't quite tell if it was natural or some sort of magic.
It was the sudden, quick, movement of lots of little things all around them, none of which she could actually make out that had her reaching reflexively for her staff. Gerhart's thoughts were probably correct, whatever was here probably wasn't friendly. But her stubbornness knew no bounds and she thought aloud nervously. "What if whatever it is is here for our bodies though?" If it was she wasn't letting it take them without a fight.

Alithia watched the shape, tracking it's progress with all of her keen senses as she replied. "I don't much care for the idea of leaving you alone, especially with whatever this is moving around." She pulled her bow out and a single arrow, not notching it, just being prepared.
"If there's one thing the woods have taught me, it's to follow your instincts, and mine are screaming that whatever this is is bad news." She turned to look at the others, "I'm not sure what's going on, but I think we need to be prepared for the worst."

Metina shudders as the air spikes and the fog descends. She nods at the mention of being prepared for the worst, as she says, "sure, but... I'm thinking the worst already happened, being corpses and all. And, I don't know what good that bow will do since her spell just kind of disappeared on the diggers. I don't see how our bows would do much difference." She readies her bow nonetheless, but keeps her eyes towards where the diggers left. She follows the creaking sound and carefully moves closer, hoping at least one of the others would follow behind.

Blair unslings her shield from her back, and readies it as she grabs her mace. "What could move so fast?" She asks herself. "Levenrog protect us." Blair listens to the ideas and propositions of the others, but doesn't really know what to think about this situation. She calms her mind and tries to focus on what other aspects could be causing this current situation. "What if whatever these things are are from this spirit based existence we find ourselves in now? More over what if instead of being attracted by our bodies they have come because we have taken on spirit form?"

Gerhart tried to follow the figures' movements, but was unable to, "Stand still and let me get a good look at ya, ya spookies," he grumbles to himself, his trident held at the ready. Hearing the different ideas being tossed around, he voiced his own thoughts, "I agree with the cleric, I'd bet they're after our spirits. I doubt graves are open long enough for scavengers to regularly come a knocking." He narrows his eyes, growling, "And I'll be damned if I let any but Shigyath's Heralds take mine."

They appear to be white specters their faces all but wrapped in what can only appear to be tatters of clothing as it clings to their faces and bodies. Each of them move with grace and precision as they gather round the group. A low groan permeates the air as they seem completely focused on the group. 1d20·1d20·1d20+3·1d20+2·1d20+2·1d20+2

Blair moves towards the closest specter placing herself in between it and the others. "We should make a three point formation with the archers in the center." Blair readies her mace, and swings for the closest specter.

Alithia did as Blair bade, moving behind the cleric and nocking her bow. She took aim and fired at the furthest specter. 1CpiaSwG1d20+5 1d8+31d20+5·1d8+3

Gerhart grips his Trident in both hands, and with a loud cry, charges between Alithia and Shima to spear one of the specters. (Middle of the three on the right.)

With her hand already reaching defensively towards her staff, Shima was able to brandish it almost immediately as the figures finally showed themselves, however she wasn't quick to attack. Were the things spirits like they were? Would their attacks actually do any damage? She searched for any hint of the answer with her eyes, nose, and ears.
As the others around her began to rally she finally set forth herself, swinging the end of her staff at the spectre (bottom right) as she lumbered towards it.

The first specter let's out an ear piercing screech as Gerhart's trident flies between where it's chest would have been. As he rips it from the creature's frame the ghost explodes into a white mist that quickly fades away into the shadows before them. The remaining specters charge down in vengeance of their fallen comrade. Racing forth as two reach to begin pulling escense from gerhart's form. The other two seem to slash their ghostly talons towards Metina and Shima respectively. As they do his body seems to lose some of it's luster as his body becomes transparent just as it did when he touched the medallion previously. This drain brings him down to one knee in a sudden bit of exhaustion. The other two ghosts' claws strike true as one rakes across Shima's stomach, while the other only manages to clip across Metina's shoulder. Just as it seemed the ghosts had made their mark in the fight Blair, Shima, and Alithia's attacks ring out. Blair's mace shattering the ghost as she charged into battle. Alithia's shaft disappearing as it sunk into the space where the ghost's heart might have been once. And lastly Shima's attack disappates the ghost with hardly a single swing. Her attack ringing out through the air as the ghost screams in pain. In turn each ghost dissolving as did the first. [Effects]Gerhart: -3 Hp, your current maximum health is reduced by 3. The spectre shape that glanced across her form makes Metina yelp in pain as she turns to bite the ghost in turn. She hadn't seen the form make it's way to her, having been looking out towards the fence line rather than towards the battle. At the close distance her mouth seems the better choice than her bow, though she is also rather curious what these forms may taste like. After the bite she moves back to join the others, keeping her bow in hand.

Though her staff had landed true one of he little monsters had gotten a piece of her too, and as the spirit poofed into oblivion Shima took a moment to regard her wound. Pain rippled through her stomach causing her to step back and groan a little but no blood could be seen, just the very unsettling fact that her she was pretty sure she looked more transparent then she had been before.
Her lashing out against the gravedigger had done next to nothing, but her attack on the spirit had landed true. She couldn't touch things and now.. look how she could see right through her arm. The pieces were falling more unpleasantly together, but she had no real clue what to do about said information.
Well monsters first, comtemplation later. Fingers gripping her staff tightly, the urshine glanced around hunting for any more spirits that might be trying to sneak up on them.

"Ack! Son of a..." Gerhart yelld as his life force is drained away. As those who attacked him fade away from his allies attacks Gerhart turned to the remaining one and with a shout, he charged and thrust his trident towards the specter.
