After finishing her prayer Blair breathes deep, and exhales to calm herself. As she stands back up Blair hears the others start talking."Yes I can hear, and see you fine" Blair says in answer to Shima's question. As Alithia asks her question Blair turns to look into her own grave. "I have no recollection of what has happened to any of us." After looking closer she notices the broach on her past form. "This is odd. I am also wearing jewelry I've never seen before. Being a servant of my god Levenrog I've never had use for such things." Blair then jumps back down inside the grave, and stoops down to look closer at the broach. "It has some some kind of purple gem inside of it. Is it the same for the rest of you?" Blair asked loudly enough to be heard from the whole. She then reaches down to touch the broach.

"Aye, lass, I hear ya," Gerhart said, still staring down at himself. Stepping down to stand beside his body, he mumbled, "I suppose I'll be with you all soon then. Just wish I coulda gotten the bastards before I joined ya." He knelt down besides himself and examined the pendent, "Nah, never was one fancy jewelry and ta like. Damn queer stone though, innit." He reached down to prod it.

Metina was glad to feel her bow still on her and she turned just in time to see the thorn whip phase through the man's body. She sighed, letting her hand fall from her bow, so as not to waste her time or her arrows. At the question, she tilts her head to the side and says, "well of course we can see and hear you. You can see and hear us, right?" She turns from the bear woman towards the half elf as she adds, "All I can say is I promise I wasn't the one to put it there." With all the comments around she realizes she should probably check herself as well, so she finally turns back towards her body.
She takes a deep breath and let's it out slow, not wanting to be the one to go into hysterics at this point. She leans down and notices an armband on herself that wasn't there before. Not that it wasn't her style, as long as it wasn't what was killing her she might keep it. She nods to the cleric woman, saying, "I also have a piece of jewelry. Not mine, but not too far from my style of choice. Wouldn't look out of place on me." She steps into the grave with her body, trying to lie in the same position and see if maybe she can slip back into her own form.

The feeling came almost immediately, only a second of odd confusion before the fire spread. Pain shot up Blair and Gerhart's arms, feeling as if they'd just thrown themselves into a bonfire as it felt like they were being burned from the inside out. The blistering pain subsiding only as they rip their fingers away from the jewelry. A quick glance and they notice that their arms are now mostly transparent. Their own corpses visible through their arms. For a brief second they can see the gem glow before it dies out and returns to it's former luster.
Metina felt the same burning sensation as her arm brushed the armband. However, as she tried to simply lay on top of her corpse no other sensation could be felt other than the awkward feeling of laying on top of a cold lifeless form.

Noticing the pain the strange jewelry caused the other two, Alithia jerked her hand away before she got near the strange gem. She looked between her...her corpse and the grave diggers before she sat on the edge of the hole.
"I just don't understand," she said, resting her head in her hands. "What are we supposed to do now? Is there even anything we can do?"

The sharp pain against her arm makes Metina quickly hop out of the grave, growling at the pain. "Well, don't just try to fit your soul back into your body. Just brushing the jewelry hurt..." She said, ending it there with a hissing pained noise. She had wanted to curse, but not knowing if today would be the day she'd see her God, she didn't want to risk any bad doings. She sat on the edge of the grave and looked around at the other 'corpses' as she says, "does anyone have healing magic that could possibly fix this?" She chews on her lower lip and slowly eases back into the grave. She leans over herself and tries to grab the strange piece of jewelry with the sleeve of her shirt wrapped over her hand.

"Yes, I suppose we're all in the same boat. Though I'm not certain what happened, nor why the diggers say we were drinking together."
A strange feeling of relief filled her as voice after voice confirmed that she was not totally alone, even if she.. didn't particularly seem to remember or know who any of these people were. As the conversation turned to jewelry however she searched her own body. It took a few moments before she finally noticed it, a small earring. Leaning in to touch it she stopped abruptly when the others reacted with pain.
"Is the jewelry keeping us locked out of our bodies...? If so I'd say just break them. But if the jewelry is instead the only thing keeping us tethered to this world....." Shima pondered aloud with uncertainty. Was it worth the risk? More like a last ditch effort.
The Urshine was busy testing to see if she could lift in the arm of her corpse, intent on trying to carry her body off along with her if she was capable of it, when Metina's question sounded. "Unfortunately it's been awhile since I've prepared a healing spell, and I can't say I've ever even seen someone perform a resurrection spell."

Blair's screamed in pain, and her body forces her back to the wall of the hole. As she regains her composer Blair notices her arms have become semi transparent. "What what I don't understand." She says to herself as she stands up inside the grave. Blair turns to the others. "Don't touch anything that doesn't seem to belong on yourself. This is what will happen to you." She raises her arms up for the others to see.
After hearing the comments of the others Blair climbs from the grave and moves in a central position to the others. "I'm a cleric, and have healing spells. Not sure if they work in this form let alone help though." She motions towards Gerhart. "I think I should try it with one of us first since we are in this condition now." Blair motions towards their arms. "As long as no one has any objections that is. If not I'll try my spell on Gerhart. Blair prepares to use cure wounds on Gerhart.

"AAACH! Son of a-!" Gerhart shouted, recoiling away from the stone, then staring at his transparent hand. "What kinda weird gobbledygook is this!?" He glared at the stone and grumbled, "What the Hell are these stones made of." He climbed out of the hole clutching his arm.
Hearing the cleric's declaration Gerhart nodded, "I don't mind, maybe it'll fix my arm. And I'll probably be able to take it on the off chance we count as undead in the eyes of the gods."

As the Urshine attempted to grab at her own form her hands simply pushed right through it, stopping as her fingers pushed against the dirt. The ground feeling solid as stone even as she could plainly see the dirt appeared to be soft, wet even as the freshly moved earth enclosed herself. As Blair moved to heal Gerhart she could see as the transparent flesh that she was about to touch slowly regained it's form as time went by, the same happened to each of those who dared touch the jewelry. The pain had long since faded to nothing more than a memory.
It was then a clang could be heard from the direction of the grave diggers. It appeared as the larger one had completely stopped, so much so that he dropped his shovel.
"O-Oi..." He stuttered looking towards his companion as his large frame seemed to shiver. "Why, why don't we come back ta'morrow? They ain't goin' nowhere? Bury 'em in daylight." He said with a very uneasy grin.
-"Now, what in the seven hells has gots you so spooked?" The other drawled as he stopped turning towards his companion.
-"I dunnah. Jus'.... Jus' somethin' don' feel right..." He said as his eyes flickered around the graveyard in seemingly random directions. For a split second it fell upon Alithia's grave but he quickly moved back. "Hey, if we go back, first rounds on me." He offered trying to convince his friend. The graveyard seemed to get colder as he continued to speak, an odd presence seeming to fill the air around them.
-"Alrigh', ifin ya say so." He said as he drove his shovel into the dirt. The two beginning to leave the graveyard heading in what appeared to be the far east section of the graveyard.
As they left the area the air seemed to only grow colder as an eerie silence began to overtake the area.

Alithia, who had picked her head up at the sound of the shovel falling, looked between her companions. "Was it just me or did that guy look right at me? Please tell me it was just me." Alithia then stopped and took a few deep breaths, thinking back to something her mother used to tell her, once panic sets in, the prey has won. "Okay, okay. Panicing wont help anyone. Do you think maybe we should follow them? Or does anyone else have any other ideas?"

So she couldn't really move her body in any way, her hand going through it, but the jewelry was both touchable and pain inducing according to the others? Clearly strong magic was involved somehow but it was a kind of magic far outside of her expertise. And the feeling of helplessness was not one that Shima was particularly familiar with nor enjoyed.
The clang of the shovel drew her attention and she muttered under her breath in annoyance at the complete disrespect of just leaving their bodies uncovered until morning. Really their disrespect (and lack of work ethic) was a lucky reprieve, giving them a few more hours to try and figure out what to do.
It was hard to tell if the off feeling (the hair on the back of her neck prickling, the chill in the air, and the nervousness building in her) was real or simply a symptom of the gravedigger's own nervousness, but as Shima turned to respond to Alithia her eyes and animalistic senses were busy listening and looking for something - anything really to explain the aire that had overtaken. "I don't think those two will be any help, but if you think we can find out something about what happened to us at the bar it may be worth following."
"I am hesitant to leave my body unattended though..."

Metina shuddered as the air grew colder and darker. She released her shirt and climbed out of her grave, sitting cross legged next to the grave as she looked from person to person talking. She raised her hand as she said, "I'd be willing to follow them. I don't have any magic in me and don't think I could be much help here. But, I also don't know how far I'd get in following them. I mean, I thought spirits were supposed to be attached to the body somehow. But, no matter. I'm willing to follow them as much as possible. Just, watch over my body while I'm gone." She stands up and brushes her legs and back off of dirt, not that any really got on her or even if it did that anyone aside from this group would see, but it was a nervous habit. And, if anything, Metina was incredibly nervous now. She was twining her fingers together and messing with her claws as she followed the sounds of the gravediggers out of the graveyard, her heart or the thought of her heart hammering hard in her chest.

Just as Blair was about to use her spell the mans arms seem to return to normal, but is then distracted the sound of the dropping shovel. "Well at least they are gone now." The cold of the night seemed to effect the others, and Blair herself to a point. She attempted to shake the cold from herself. "I'm not against the idea of following them, but I am wondering how is it we are feeling cold when we are in some sort of spirit form?"

Gerhart shivered at the frosty air, "I don't think it's us that made them leave. A soul deep cold like this can't be a natural, who ever heard of a ghost getting the chills? I think we may not be the only spirits wandering from their graves this night." He looks around the graveyard warily, stroking his beard. "Leaving may be wise. I doubt anything lurking here would be friendly."
